When asked about Kertesz, Henri Cartier-Bresson showed his reverence
by saying: “We all owe something to Kertesz.” and even “Whatever we have
done, Kertesz did first.”
Another famous photographer, Brassai, beautifully captured what made Kertesz so great as a photographer:
